Recipe for Marinade with Crushed Chili and Honey

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons crushed chili
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped or pressed)
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preparation of the marinade: In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and lemon juice or balsamic vinegar until all the liquid ingredients are well combined.

  2. Adding the spices: Add the crushed chili, garlic, ground ginger (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix everything well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly combined and create a smooth marinade.

  3. Marinating: Use the marinade to coat meat, such as chicken breasts, pork ribs, or shrimp. Let the meat marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, ideally 2-3 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. Grilling or baking: Grill or bake the marinated meat according to your usual methods. While grilling, occasionally baste the meat with the remaining marinade for extra flavor and glaze.
