1. Recipe

Excellent Homemade Bread

Difficulty: medium

Preparation time: 2 hours 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 300 ml lukewarm water
  • 10 g salt
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons bread spice mix
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and bread spice.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and let it rest for 10 minutes until foam forms on the surface.
  3. Add the yeast and oil to the dry ingredients and mix until the dough starts to come together.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in volume.
  6. Turn out the dough, briefly knead and shape into a loaf.
  7. Place the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper, cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  9. Make several slashes on the surface of the loaf with a sharp knife and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Allow the bread to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

2. Recipe

Crispy Grissini Sticks

Difficulty: easy

Preparation time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 160 ml lukewarm water
  • 5 g salt
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon bread spice mix
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • More olive oil for brushing
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and bread spice.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and let the foam develop.
  3. Add the yeast and oil to the dry ingredients and process into a dough.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  5. Transfer the dough into an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  6. After rising, briefly knead the dough again and divide into small pieces (about 20 g each).
  7. Roll each piece into long sticks, about 20 cm long.
  8. Place the sticks on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  9. Let the grissini rest for about 15 minutes, then lightly brush with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
  10. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the sticks are golden brown and crispy.
  12. Let the finished grissini cool on a wire rack.

We will send the spices to you in a gift resealable doypack bag with a clear window. The bag looks very nice, and your spices will stay fresh and fragrant for a long time. The bag can be refilled repeatedly. Choose this option if you do not have other sealable storage for spices or if you wish to give it as a gift.
