Smoked Sweet Paprika Chicken Thighs

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons smoked sweet paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Marinade preparation: In a large bowl, mix olive oil, crushed garlic, smoked sweet paprika, ground cumin, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. If you want a bit of sweetness, stir in honey. Mix the marinade well.

  2. Marinating the chicken: Coat the chicken thighs thoroughly with the marinade and let them sit for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight in the refrigerator, to allow the flavors to combine.

  3. Baking: Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the chicken thighs on a baking sheet and bake for about 35–40 minutes until they are golden and juicy inside. Baste the thighs with the juices during baking to keep them crispy on the outside.

  4. Serving: Sprinkle the finished chicken thighs with fresh herbs and serve with a side of your choice, such as roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, or a salad.

Tips:

  • For an extra smoky flavor, add a pinch of smoked hot paprika.
  • If you don't have lemon, you can use lime or a bit of vinegar for a tangy kick.

We will send you the spices in a gift resealable doypack bag with a transparent window. The bag looks very nice, and it will keep your spices fresh and fragrant for a long time. The bag can be refilled repeatedly. Choose this option if you don't have other resealable storage for spices or if you want to give it as a gift.
